Agitators 8-5 vs. La.Lightning 6-7
written by Taz. Devils
The Lightning and Agitators enter this year's playoffs with defense
on their minds. The Lightning will be in defense of the LSSFL trophy
and
the Agitators have been scoring good points with his St. Louis defense.
The Lightning, who has made the playoffs every year, finally won
it all
last year. The Agitators are in the playoffs after a two year postseason
absense. Lightning's offense mostly consists of nfl veterans, although
his best player is rookie runningback E. James. The Agitators' offense
heavily relies on young players leading the team and runningbacks
that
shares time running the ball with other runningbacks on their team.
Although the Agitators won both head-to-head games this year, the
playoffs can be a whole new monster. Just ask the Dallas Cowboys
about
Arizona. This should be a good game that could be decided by our
new
rule of defensive points. This writer's pick goes with experience
over
youth 93-80.
Taz.Devils 7-6 vs. Buck Masters 7-5-1
written by Playboys
Well here we are at the 1st game of the post season. This
is the time of year every team waits for. This playoff game features
two teams from the Eastern conference. Both the 7-5-1 Buck Masters
and the 7-6 Taz. Devils have made it past the riff raft of the regular
season and are now fighting it out to advance to the Eastern conference
championship game. These two teams have met twice already in the
regular season with each team taking a victory. Now comes the tie
breaker. The Buck Masters are only in their 2nd season in the league
and are now two games away from being the Superbowl. They have a
very good team led by B.Favre and the rest of his players appear to be
blue collar workers with a penchant of scoring points. What's amazing
is that earlier this season the Buck Masters were slumming around the basement
of the conference. Through th course of the season he made some good
trades and key pick-ups and ended up in second place. Of course you
really can't celebrate anything just yet, because he faces a team that
sports two of the top players in the league right now. K.Werner and
M.Fauk. The Taz Devils have been on a very good roll all season long
with surprise players such as C.Dillon and D.Mays. He also has a
good receiver in A.Freeman. With the Taz. Devils pick-up of K.Werner
of week 2 this season this writer feels he has too be the favorite going
into this game.

Playboys 10-2 vs Buckmasters 6-6
Well here we are again at the last game of the season. Both
teams are in the
playoffs and are wanting to tune up before they begin. Both
are coming off wins.
The Buckmasters squeaking out one against the La. Lightning 91-88
and the
Playboys putting one of the final nails in the Bulldogs season 109-71.
The Buckmasters are looking for a little payback from the loss he took
to the Playboys earlier this year. The
Buckmasters who are led by QB B. Favre, RB C. Garner &
E. Moulds will have their hands full
when they go up against the Playboys' triplets in QB J. George,
WR R. Moss & WR C.Carter.
When there rolling they're hard to beat, but if they're off they
are very vulnerable. Look for a dog
fight and for the one winning to be smiling going into the playoffs.

De Luna's 3-8-1 vs. Taz.Devils 6-6
This game features one team playing spoiler and the other playing
for a playoff spot. The DeLunas are officially out of the running
for a playoff spot and can only try to mess up the Taz's chances but even
if the Taz loses, he's not out of the hunt. In short, The Taz controls
his own destiny. If he wins, he's in and if he loses then he either
needs a loss by the Banditos or if the Banditos do win, he needs to beat
them on total points for the year. But the easiest way to ensure
a playoff spot is to simply win his game.period! With players like
K. Warner and M. Faulk, the Taz has a great shot at not onlywinning this
game but of going a long way into the playoffs. The Delunas on the
other hand, have just had a difficult year. Their year got bad about
the time their starting qb(R. Cunningham) got benched and then they traded
away the receivers C.Carter and E.Moulds. So the Delunas will just
have to worry about doing better next year and with a won/loss record like
his, he should have to change his team name next season. So good
luck to the Taz and Delunas and lets see who makes the playoffs.

Bandidos 5-7 vs Bulldogs 4-8
We're down to the last game of the season and that means some of
these games being played this week will make or break a team. One
such game is the matchup between the 5-7 Banditos and the 4-8 Bulldogs.
Now the bulldogs are already eliminated from playoff contention but the
Banditos still have a very small shot of getting in. They need the
Taz to lose to the Delunas which would put them in a tie. Then since
they split the season series and would have the same conference won\loss
records. The banditos would need to score a lot of points to get
past the Taz's point total for the year. If all this happens then
the banditos are in. If not, then as the defensive coach for the
Southeast Louisiana Muddogs in 'Waterboy' would say,"You lib to fide anuda
bay!" The Bulldogs meanwhile will definitly be going back to the
drawing board trying to figure out what went wrong this season because
on paper his team is filled with probowlers and superstars. Such
as Bledsoe, C. Martin, T. Glenn, and the Jax defense. So now the
bulldogs can only play spoiler and hope to deny the Banditos any hope of
making the playoffs. But I'm sure the Banditos are going to do their
best to make the playoffs with players like Key. Johnson, St. McNair, and
Rob. Smith. He should feel good about his chances of winning this
game and with a little luck he could be in the playoffs.

WEEK13
Bulldogs 2-7 vs. Red Dogs 2-6-1
This is truly the game of the weak. It features the Dead Dogs
and the Full of Bulldogs, with each trying not finish the season as the
worst of the league. All jokes aside. Neither team is out of
the playoff hunt. Especially in the West. Where the Red Dogs
are only one game out for a tie at the last playoff spot. They have
an excellent QB in Brunnell and Rb in George. The only possible weakness
is at Wideouts. And a knack for losing close games. Of course
last week he did blow out the Delunas but that was by forfeit. But
maybe the Red Dogs can use that as a spring board to get his team on the
winning path. Of course the Bulldogs will have a thing or team to
say about that. He is coming off a tough lost last week even though
the scored 100 points. The Bulldogs have lost a totoal of 6 games
by 9 points or less this year. He has a very good team with Bledsoe,
Martin & Bettis running the ball and a solid receiving core.
The only thing you can say is that he plays the wrong team every week.
More so than the Red Dogs they can not afford any more loses. Another
loss and the door starts to close on the Bulldogs hope this year and that
would be a 1st.
La.Lightning 3-6 vs. De Luna’s 3-6
This could be the game of the week if De Luna’s decides to turn in
his line-up. Sense he didn’t we will not make it game of the week.
The De Luna’s have forfeited the last two games by being out of town working.
De Luna’s could be 5-4 and tied for 2nd flat out 3rd. Either way
he is tied for 3rd with the La.Lightning. I know that the La.Lightning
would prefer him not calling in his line-up but after lengthy discussion
with league officials and paying his League dues he states he will not
forfeit again. Either way we have his money. 3-6-8-7 is the
difference in 4 of the loses this year for the La.Lightning and as everyone
in fantasy ball knows we would all rather be blown out than lose by single
digits. On top of that the lightning is the fouth best scorer in
the league. I’m not pointing it out to add salt to the lightning
(maybe just a little) but he has a team that is very capable of turning
it around these last few games and losing to the Bandidos in Superbowl
VI. He is probably just holding his horses back like he did last
year prior to winning it all.
Agitators 5-4 vs. Wolverines
The Agitators are looking forward to placing a two game win streak
in place something they have not done since week 4 & 5 when they beat
the La.Lightning & Red Dogs. The Agitators are in solee possesion
of 2nd place and hopes to get a game closer by beating the Division leader
Wolverines. There is still a mathmatical chance at getting the bye
but he would need 3 straight and Wolverines would need 3 loses. Hey
if the Playboys can be 8-1 and the Bulldogs 2-2 anything is possible.
The wolverines are looking to expand on their 8-1 record, considering he
ain’t playing the Lightning he probably will. Nothing against Agitators
but the Wolverines are the new La.Lightning or Bulldogs they are dominating.
(Playboys are flaming over it) Wolverines are the highest scoring
team and have put up an outstanding win record the last couple of years.
A win this week would give him the bye for the Playoffs and a smile on
his face. So Agitators will need to place up some numbers to upset
this Beast.
Bandidos 5-4 vs. Playboys 8-1
There once was a great philosher who once stated the most true words
in the world. EVERY DOG HAS HIS DAY!! But in the Playboys case
it’s YEAR. The playboys is tied with for the best record in the league
and 8 points shy of being the highest scorer in the league which is still
100 points better than 3rd place. As much as I hate to say it he
is putting up a stellar year. But he is still a braggard and a thief
( If the guy rips his brother off then woo to the other teams). Perfect
example is Playboys weekly quote. “ I have already beat him (Bandidos)
once this year and seeing that I have already made the playoffs I might
tell my team to take it easy on him this time. But considering it’s
my brother I’m going to have to whip his butt just like last time maybe
even worse. Maybe then he will realize that I am the best.
3 in a row baby. “
The Bandidos are far from laying down granted they are the lowest scoring
team but they have heart. “ I will beat this braggard like a red
headed step child or Red Dog.
Buck Masters 3-5-1 vs. Taz. Devils 5-4
With one place off spot in the East already spoken for, this game becomes
a lot more important for theset two teams. With a victory this week
the Buck Masters can move with in one game of that all important playoff
spot. Buck Masters are coming off a very close victory last week.
And maybe building some steam for the Playoffs. He posted 111 points.
He has very able team with QB Favre (although he is struggling right now)
and a couple of very good running backs. His receivers are top nothch
and his defense could be getting better. The Buck masters really
need this victory but the Taz Devils stand in the way. They are a
much better team than his 5-4 record show. The Taz are coming off
a tough 6 point lose to the Playboys. So the Devils will be coming
out in force this week. One can only assume that he will not be sitting
out any star players against the Buck Masters. The Buck Masters can
expect a tough line-up with M.Fauld and Werner.
Don't you like
it how when ever a team is sucking in Fantasy Ball you always hear the
same thing about how they have a life and don't have time to put into Fantasy.
I find that amusing everytime I hear it.
WEEK 9
Here we are a little over half way through the season
and a couple of teams as usual are pulling away from the pack. The
past few years when making this statement we would usually think of LA.LIGHTNING
in the WEST and BULLDOGS
in the EAST but this year as in the NFL our
CHAMP
and EX-CHAMP
are struggling. These two teams have met in the SuperBowl the last 3 years
and have a combined 5-11 record. All is not well in PLEASANTVILLE.
The BULLDOGS are hoping for a winning stretch
to catch the 3rd playoff spot in the EAST.
The LA.LIGHTNING
are currently tied for 3RD in the WEST.
The WOLVERINES and the PLAYBOYS
appear to be the new blood in their divisions. Last year the WOLVERINES
finished with the best record in the WEST
@ 10-2 and are 7-1 this year. The PLAYBOYS
have been scratching at the SUPERBOWL door
for the last few years but kept faltering to the BULLDOGS.
PLAYBOYS
are looking to break the door down.
PLAYBOYS
have exerted his dominance over the
EASTERNCONFERENCE
and is tied for the best record in the league @ 7-1. Do you feel
a new cool breeze passing through the league, now that may be what is changing
PLEASANTVILLE?
TAZ.DEVILS
should be 6-2 instead of 5-3but he had his yearly coaching blunder.
The
BANDIDOS are still thanking him. TAZ.DEVILS
may have slept on one game but he has assembled a team that is very capable
of winning it all this year. TAZ.DEVILS
could coach his self to a CHAMPIONSHIP this
year finally joining the other commissioner’s BANDIDOS
& LA.LIGHTNING
as A champion. TAZ.DEVILS look to have
one of the best teams in the league and could finish strong. Now
letting teh DEVIL loose in PLEASANTVILLE
is definately not good but it is the Millenium. As has been
the story the last few years holds true this year for the AGITATORS
injuries can kill ya. AGITATORS are
.500 and very much in the hunt. AGITATORS
could gain two games as well as the heads-up advantage when he meets LA.LIGHTNING
this week. The LA.LIGHTING
has a good team that can put up some points. And the LA.LIGHTNING
never loses hope. Heck he has had practice in dealing with hard times
heck he’s an A&M and LSU fan, and they never know when to quit. BANDIDOS
are going crazy over being 5-3 which is territory he has never been in.
BANDIDOS
may actually finish above .500 this year. He seems to have forgotten
the saying “ Act like you have been there before “ He could be brought
down to reality or solidify his self this week when he meets the 7-1 WOLVERINES
then the PLAYBOYS. BANDIDOS
could be facing reality. This is the week that the low man has a chance
to gain ground. Both 4th & 5th spots in each division are playing
each other. NEWORLEAN & CLEVELAND
in both division. BUCKMASTERS have 2.5
wins and are hoping to turn it on the second half of the season and upset
some people. BUCKMASTERS may need to
ask Steve Young to refer him to a head doctor. Seems BUCKMASTERS
thought it would be better to sit down his #1 draft pick B.Favre last week
and start fantasy star T.Aikman instead. Has anyone ever heard the
song “the lights are on but your not home. “? Maybe you can
ask the TAZ.DEVILS
what doctor they went to that help them turn there coaching styles around.
The DELUNA’s have been trading off wins
and loses week to week and is still in the hunt but killed his self last
week by forfeiting his game to the BANDIDOS(thank
you). But as the saying goes it ain’t over until it’s over.
The PLAYBOYS & BANDIDOS
are officially filing a motion to have the DELUNA's change their team name.
If you don't stay about .500 you can't carry the name. DELUNA's
will be facing the powerhouse REDDOGS this
week. Speaking of….The REDDOGS have
something in common with a team that has been in the last 4
SUPERBOWLS, only thing is it’s not positive. REDDOGS
& BULLDOGS at the bottom of their divisions
are hoping to get in at the 3rd playoff spot. Which is very possible considering
how the season has been going. I don’t know if anyone has told REDDOGS
& BULLDOGS that unlike the NFL you don’t
get a better draft position for finishing last in Fantasy Football. REDDOGSI
hope you bag something this weekend that way it doesn’t turn out to be
a bad sporting weekend. BULLDOGS will
be playing the BUCKMASTERS this week and hoping
to go on a winning streak.
Agitatores 3-03 vs. De Lunas’ 3-3
Written by Playboys
This game between these two teams is ending up being
game of the week sense both these guys are 3-3 and are fighting to stay
in second place in the West. Agitators should always feel confident
in his chances for victory with his QB Manning leading the charge and M.Westbrook
catching. The only question mark he has is at running back.
But he is taking a chance by picking up B.Sanders. So he will need
his stars to pick up the slack. The DeLuna’s mean while are starting
to look like a genius sense getting rid of E.Moulds. Unfortunately
his starting QB Cunningham has been benched but he still has a consisstant
Beurlein , R.Watters and a surprising C.Enis going for him. Perhaps
with this QB change he can turn around his season sense he has lost the
last 2 outta 3. Either way both of these guys are well into the hunt
and capable of upsetting the other. As always this should be a exciting
day. And the winner will have a break on the Conference tie breaker.
LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!
Wolverines 5-1 vs. Red dogs (Battle of the In-laws)
Written by Playboys
Wolverines are coming off a heart breaking loss to
the La.Lightning last week. He could be trying to take out his anger
this week against the Red Dogs who have been struggling through out the
year. Wolverines have one of the best teams in the league and that
reflects on his record. B.Johnson is scoring like crazy as well as
Harrison and I.Bruce. The guy seems like he may unstoppable, but
last week that he can be stopped. The Red Dogs are looking to make
it two loses in a row for the Wolverines but they will have to do it with
out Brunnell, R.Smith and E.George. Which could be tough. But
as the famous or infamous saying goes every DOG has it’s day. Maybe
the Red Dogs can pull out a upset from the Wolverines and get right in
the playoff pictures. They are only 1.5 games out of second place.
Good Luck Red Dogs cause you are going to need it. Remember God loves
ya!!!!
Bandidos (3-3) vs Bulldogs (1-5)
Written by La.Lightning
This game is going to be a dog fight. The Bandidos
are coming off a close but much needed win over the Taz 46-32. But,
the score don't matter. A win is a win. While the Bulldogs
lost a heartbreaker to the Playboys 89-80. The Bandidos have a lot
of questionable guys this week, which puts a big ? in the coaches mind
on who to start. Hopefully he can count on his strong running game
in RB/S. Davis & RB/J. Stewart to carry the load for him. The
Bulldogs are in need of a much needed win this week. On paper he
looks very strong with QB/D. Bledsoe, RB/C. Martin & WR/T. Glenn.
He needs a win to get back in the playoff picture. The Bandidos were
overheard saying," I will not take anyone for granted and as long as my
boys play to their potential I should have no problem this weekend".
Both teams need this win, bad...Look for a real dog fight and the one who
wins will look a little better to appearing in the post season.
La.Lightning 3-3 vs. Taz. Devils 3-3
This game has two commisioners playing their annual
Cotton Bowl game. Usually the Taz.Devils pull it out but this year
La.Lightning is fighting and scrapping for every win. The Taz. Devils
are at .500 and have a team that can play with anyone. He lost a
heart breaker last week due to coaching decision of keeping RB/M.Faulk
on the bench. The Bandidos thank you. That will probably be
his worse enemy trying to decide who to start. He has QB/Werner who
had an off week but should come back strong this week. Especially
if he decides to start RB/Faulk. The La.Lightning are coming off
an emotional win over the best team in the Western Division two years running
Wolverines are tough to beat and rarely score under 100 points. La.Lightning
are starting to come together with Flutie scoring and F.Taylor slated to
come back in a week or two. He RB/E.James who is posting good numbers
and could make a run if his receivers ever come around. Either way
he is on a two game win streak and having the La.Lightning on a streak
is bad for the Western opponents. This guy can put up a winning streak
as has been proven in the past.
Playboys 5-1 vs. Buck Masters 2-3-1
The Playboys are closing fast on a winning season
and securing a Playoff spot for the Eastern Conference as well as flying
high as a kite. If he keeps up his current pace he will be playing
for the oppourtunity to advance to Super Bowl for the 3rd year in a row.
He upgraded his QB position by picking up J.George (If George keeps the
starting role in Minnesota.) Even though it may have cost him in the upcoming
game. Buck Masters stayed in the hunt by upsetting Agitators last
week and positioned his self a half game out of second. He dropped
(injury) RB/Morris for RB/Gary of Denver and hopes the can fill in as a
2nd back. He is dangerous due to having Mr Fantasy QB/B.Favre in
his lineup. If his receivers stay consistant he will stay in the
hunt. Both teams are run by outspoken owners and I’m sure words will
be mixed. You could say this is Jerry Jones vs. Al Davis. Or
you could call either one Marrichui (SanFran) sense both have been accused
of dirty deals. No love loss in this game.. Look for a tie.
Wolverines 5-0 vs. La. Lightning. 2-3
The Wolverines are undefeated and averaging 100 pts
a game and appear to be unstoppable. They defeated the Playboys last
week who came in undefeated but could not overcome Wolverines 104 pt’s.
This week the Wolverines will be facing the team that upset him last year
in the Western finals to go on to win Super Bowl IV. He could be
looking for some payback for that devastating defeat. The La.Lightning
will be looking to put up his back-to-back wins for the 1st time this year.
He scored 89 pt’s last week so he has scoring capability but he will have
to be in top form for this up coming game. Last week he won a
division game against the DeLuna’s which placed a smile on his face.
But I’m sure he knows that the Wolverines are not your average team
and will have to score high in order to have a chance. What holds
true for the NFL holds true for Fantasy Football. Anything can happen
come game day. Either way we have the La. Lightning or old guard
facing the new Western guard Wolverines. This should be an exciting
game and who ever wins will be feeling pretty good. Be it Payback
or satisfaction.
Agitators 3-2 vs. Red Dogs 1-3-1
written by La.Lightning.
This week the 3-2 Agitators face off against the 1-3-1
Buckmasters. Both teams are riding high
on their one game winning streaks. The Agitators
sent the Red Dogs back to drinking again with their 77-56 victory, while
the Buckmasters finally got their first win with a 70-57 victory over their
arch rival, the Bandidos. The Agitators are led by QB P. Manning,
RB's T. Allen & M. Alstot, and the hot receivers of M. Westbrook &
F. Sanders. They will try to properly welcome the new team into the
Big Leagues, with another loss. The Buckmasters will counter with
their MVP in B. Favre, RB C. Garner, and WR's E. Moulds & M. Muhamaad.
They will try and string back to back victories together for the first
time this year. The Agitators have a slight advantage in the scoring.
Other then that this game should be a pick'em.
DUE TO UN-FORSEEN ISSUES THE OTHER STORIES MAY
OR MAY NOT BE LISTED THIS WEEK.
SORRY!!!! IF YOU WOULD LIKE CALL AND I WILL
EXPLAIN.
Playboys 4-0 vs. Wolverines
4-0
The Thrilla in Manilla
This match-up is as good as it gets, you have the
best team from the West playing the best team from the East. They
are both undefeated and are the top two scorers in the league. Both
Wolverines & Playboys were a game from the SuperBowl last year and
are getting off to a sizzling start this year. This is a challenge
that both are looking forward to. Judging by the quote received by
the Playboys they seem ready and primed to take on this challenge.
Whan asked about the game Playboys stated “ Congradulations (Wolverines)
on being 4-0 but that was against crappy competition. Now your facing
a real team, not only will I beat you but I will humiliate you.”
Sounds to me The Playboys are looking for blood. Must have something
to do with Wolverines taking a win last year. Both team have faced
teams with a combined record of 7-9. The Wolverines once agiain have
the best Wide out in the league w/Harrison which will be playing but Wolverines
will be missing his star QB/B.Johnson whose point production will be missed
but the Wolverines have scored high with out a player or two breaking double
digits. The Playboys will be with a full slate of offensive players
but will not have that dominating Seattle defense whom has pulled out a
few games for him this year but did manage to pick up Cincy Defense who
will be playing against Cleveland. The Playboys have beaten the last
two team that came in trying to derail his perfect season. So look
for a good game from the EAST. This should be a wild one so expect
a score of 32 to 30……HEHEHEHEH!!!!! PICK-EM…..
Bulldogs 1-3 vs. Taz.Devils 2-2
The Bulldogs finally showed up and won a shoot out
over the BuckMasters 103-100 last week. It was a very exciting game
(With a little controversy) that could have went either way. Either
way the BullDogs are officially registered in the win column. The
Bulldogs can get right back in to the thick of things with a win this week
over Taz.Devils who happens to be in second place of the EAST. Bledsoe
and T.Glenn helped the BullDogs last week and he will be wanting to have
the same production this week. C.Martin is always ready to run and
could have a good day this weekend . The Taz.Devils is coming off
of a disappointing 3 point loss to the Playboys which if he’d one would
have given him 1st place. I can hear him saying “ I was a contender”
But when being a contender you have to always be able to make a come back
on them rough Monday night games. Thus far the Taz.Devils have been
able to keep his head above water and stay in the thick of things but there
will not be very many more RedDogs & Bucks on his schedule so he will
have to buck up and come out swinging. Which is possible with hot
sensation QB/Werner and M.Faulk carrying the load. This could be
a year to remember for Taz.Devils. It’s still a little early for
Playoff reservations but we will be watching.
Agitators 2-2 vs. RedDogs 1-2-1
written by the La.Lightning.
This week the 2-0 Agitators play the 1-2-1 RedDogs.
The Agitators spanked the Champs, La.Lightning 97-45 while the Red
Dogs lost another heartbreaker to the Bandidios 95-93. The Red Dogs’
losses are by a combined total of less than 5 points. And the Red
Dogs score more points than half the league. They are led by QB M.Brunell,
RB’s E.George & R.Smith with WR’s T.Brown & B.Schroeder.
They were overheard as saying “ We will win” (Can’t forget the sometimes
comment that followed). The Agitators took a big hit to their team
when they lost #1 pick T.Davis to a seasonending injury. So now they
will be led by their ‘ HOT’ QB in P.Manning with RB’s M.Alstot & T.Allen
trying to pick up the slack. The Agitators had a message for the
Red Dogs: “ Aren’t the Red Dogs the team that has never made the
playoffs. What the Red Dogs need is a cas of Red Dog to watch the
Agitators in the playoffs. This game is a toss up. Maybe the
Red Dogs luck will change and the Agitators will need to start to thinking
of his favorite beer. Then again, maybe the Agitators are right in
kicking a dog when he’s down.
La.Lightning 1-3 vs. De Luna's
2-2
written by the Playboys
The struggles continue for last years SuperBowl Champs,
the La.Lightning has lost their last two games and are needing a win badly
to get back into the thick of the diveisional race. They hnave a
great QB in Flutie and super stud RB’s E.James, T.Biabatuka, C.Collins
and the injured F.Taylor. But his receivers have something to be
desired. Who knows, maybe they’ll come around and help him win some
games. But as La.Lightning stated “ It’s how you finish not how you
start.” He knows both sides of the story from his past experiences.
The DeLuna’s mean-while are 2-2 and have revamped their receivers to see
if he can win a few more games. He still has Randall Cunningham throwing
the ball and RB Ricky Watters is doing decent for him. Rocket Ismail
in kicking butt for him also, so the DeLuna’s have to feel that he has
a good shot of winning. These two teams are still in hunt for the
division title, but neither wants or needs a loss this weekend.
Bandidos 2-2 vs. Buck Masters
0-3-1
written by the Playboys
This game features the BuckMasters and Bandidos, two
division rivals struggling to get wins this season. They both have
teams capable of winning all their games, but through a series of untimely
injuries and just plain bad luck these teams are finding victories hard
to come by. The Bandidos are ar .500 and has won his last game so
his confidence is improving. He has St.Yound out but R.Gannon is
an extremely capable QB but unfortunately his star RB/St.Davis is off this
week. None of this seems to faze the Bandidos who was heard this
week saying, “ The expansion teams luck runs out this week, he’s liable
to get two losses for this game.” On the flip sid the Buck Masters
put up some serious numbers last week 100pt’s but it came on the wrong
week against the wrong opponent. He has steadily improved his team
with the Dallas Def & B.Favre and M.Irvin on his team. (He out
slicked the Playboys for players). Buck Masters is the 3rd highest
scorer in the Eastern Division so I doubt he is worried about what the
Bandidos had to say. I know it’s early in the season but this game
could really set the Buck Masters way behind or it could get him back in
the race.
Bulldogs 0-3 vs. BuckMasters 0-2-1
Briefly I'm wondering if anyone has spotted the Bulldogs
if you see him please have him call a commissioners. This is game
of the week for several reason one is that it may be the only time and
secondly its pits one of Lone Star Fantasy leagues winningest owners against
last years expansion team. Plus I interested in finding out if Bulldogs
has sunken so low that and expansion team can over take him. If the
Bulldogs lose they will be last in the East and in a position that he hasn't
been at least not as long as I can remember. The BuckMasters (formerly
Cowboys) seems to be picking up where he left off last year. 1st
he had a disappointing loss by a few points the 1st game and then ties
on his second week. Life is tough when you come leave the collegiate
level and come up here with the BIG BOYS. One thing about Buck Masters
is that they have heart and can talk a good game. It is only the
4th week and he has already acquired R.Watters from one owner and traded
him to another for a profit. He acquired Dallas Def which should
be on now that Dejon is back as well as taken T.Aikman as a back-up.
Did I mention that he has Mr. Fantasy on his team. B.Favre will produce
and he will produce big. So this is a big game for both teams and
one of them will have a win after this week.
Agitators 1-2 vs. L.Lightning 1-2
The Agitators and L.Lightning are two teams wondering
if they should be playing fantasy hockey instead of Football. Actually
they are two teams that are getting off to a slow start but hoping to pick
it up during the reset of the season. One thing for sure is that
one of them will be .500 and the other .250, unless they tie and I believe
the RedDogs & BuckMasters have had our league bi-yearly tie.
The Lightning is riding his defense which has won one game for him this
year. Losing his #1 pick F.Taylor for the last couple of games hasn't helped
out either but he still has Flutie and E.James who are capable or pulling
out a win for the Lightning, so don’t count out the champ. I repeat
never count out the Champ he has been here before. He may be the
champ but during the last years western Divisional wild card game he pulled
out a shoot out against another team that doesn't know when to quit.. The
Agitators lost a heart breaker 107-103 that game and still has a bad taste.
Agitators coach stated “ I'm will be seeking revenge for that Western wild
card game last year” And he sounded determined and by looking at
his team I can see why. Manning has turned out to be one of the best
picks of the draft. He has T.Davis who can break out and make him one of
the most dangerous teams in the league. Did I mention he has swapped
out defense and is now going w/St.Louis. This could be pay back time.
Wolverines 3-0 vs. De Luna’s 2-1
This pits the two best teams in the Western Division.
And which ever team wins will have early bragging rights. The De
Luna’s defeated the Bulldogs last week and is looking to upset the
Wolverines this week. This may prove to be easier said than done.
But the De Luna’s appear to have a rag-tag team of players who don’t seem
to know when to say quit. He has high potential in R.Cunningham &
C.Carter and if Moulds holds up this could be a game. Did I mention
San Fran Defense. If San Diego made the NFL super bowl then the De
Luna's have a shot at pulling this out. The Wolverines could be facing
his 1st tough challenge this week. But the Wolverines are is getting
used to the fact of everyone wanting to beat the top team with the best
record. He had to deal with it last year. Well the Wolverines,
lets see what can you say. He has an 3-0 record, which isn't usual.
Wolverines sits at the top of the West which has held true the last couple
of years. He also has B.Johnson (best QB in the league)
D.Levens the total yardage leader in the league and yes once again the
best wide receiver in M.Harrison. He is averaging 97.3 points agame
which he has done with out his #1 pick J.Anderson. Again what can
you say. He may be facing his toughest challenge but then again he
is the toughest challenge.
RedDogs 1-1-1 vs. Bandidos 1-2
Close games and untimely injuries have jinxed the RedDogs
in years past. I personally believe it’s due to the Cajun L.Lightning
placing a hex on the division. The RedDogs record of 1-1-1 is deceiving
but that is due to losing a close game & then tying as well as being
one of the top averaging scoring teams. The RedDogs would be 3-0
if he would have had 2 point’s one game and 1point another. The week
they tied they had the second highest score. That hurts. The
Bandidos who are ran by one of the most intelligent, savvy, knowledgeable
and owners in Fantasy History did I mention SuperBowl II Champion
Close games and injuries have hampered (Remember I
stated I would be bias read disclaimer at top) as well. Bandidos
picked up a New Orleans def to fill a void that has cost him two games
this season. He also trades N.Means to the BuckMasters for T.Owens
this week, so he should be able to scrap up a few points of his own.
The Bandidos have stated that the RedDogs will not be finding any bones
this game but they will be waking up with a Hang over, if they get up at
all.
Playboys 3-0 vs. Taz.Devils 2-1
The Playboys and Taz.Devils are also fighting to see
who will be top team in the Eastern Division. This season has really
been up side down. I mean the Bulldogs are 0-3. Last years
champs L.Lightning are 1-2 (should be 0-3, Bandidos were robbed and game
is still under review). But the Taz.Devils who have fired their coach
the every year for the past 5 years are fighting for top spot. Seems
that his freshman team are finally starting to play like seniors.
Taz has the surprise QB/Werner and a steady back in M.Faulk and with A.Freeman
they have covered all the skill positions. T.Devils have potential
to put up points on any given Sunday. The Playboys are getting off
to one of their best starts ever and see no end in sight. The Playboys
enhanced their team by picking up and trading for players this week.
R.Williams could pan out and finally stay healthy. He picked up one
of the best current kickers in the league, which was Conway of the DeadSkins.
He is looking pretty tough and has the second highest scoring average per
game. I had over-heard the Playboys stating “ Who are we playing,
heck I’m waiting on the Wolverines to come to town” Sounds like they are
over looking a game. Momma said never take your eyes off the guy
in front of you until after he is laid out on the ground. Lets’ get
ready to rumble……….
Bandidos 1-1 vs. Playboys 2-0
written by guest writer: PLAYBOYS
This week the 2-0 Playboys face the 1-1 Bandidos in
a game pitting Cain & Abel for early season bragging rights.
The Playboys are coming off a stunning Monday night victory over De Luna’s
in case your wondering is the 3rd brother from the bible and is forward
to beating the Abel=Bandidos. The Bandidos are trying to come back
from a heart breaking loss against his arch nemesis that crazy Cajun L.Lighting.
Bandidos was heard saying he was robbed like De La Hoya. This won’t
be an easy win for the Playboys sense he will be with out his ACE running
back E.Smith. The Bandidos mean while will have S.Young and his top
dog St.Davis going full steam. This has him feeling pretty good about
his chances, “ I may have stumbled against a weaker team last week but
the Playboys are going to get played.” So said the Bandidos earlier
this week. While in the midst in a drunken rage. The Playboys
mean while was over heard at his victory party this week saying, “ you
know it’s kind of hard to worry much about a team who loses to the L.Lightning.
I think you have to put the blame on everyone from the owner down.”
Wolverines 2-0 vs. Agitatores 1-1
The wolverines are the favored team this week and
with good reason considering they are averaging 100 points for the last
two games. They scored more points(102) w/J.Anderson going down in
ths 1st quarter last week than what everyone else did with complete
rosters. He is probably just going on his yearly century mark breaking
scoring. Anderson going down hurts but he still has D.Levens and
he should be good for 15 points a game. Wolverines are looking for
their 1st step in taking the Western championship by playing division opponent
Agitators. The Agitators beat the Bulldogs last week repaying him
for some bad memories. Now Agitators will be facing the Wolverines
who were the top dogs last year. If T.Davis can get on his fantasy
football scoring binge The Agitaors could teach the Wolverines about pay-back.
P.Manning has been a pleasant surprise and we the receivers he has should
be consistent. The down side for Agitators Manning is
that the Wolverines have WR/Harrison and he is as hot as my Rolex.
L.Lightning 1-1 vs. Red dogs 0-1-1
The L.Lightning pulled out a tough win last week having
his DEFENSE score 30 points to pull out a 3 point win. But has been
proven time and time again, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
With that Tampa defense he should be able to pull out several more games
before the season is out. He also has QB/D.FLUTIE who seems to always
produce points. L.Lightning ran into some bad luck with the injury
to RB/Taylor but as he has proven in the past he will survive. The
RedDogs on the other hand are one of the best scoring teams in the league
and should probably be 2-0. RedDogs lost a one point game the 1st
week and tied w/the BuckMasters this week. As other teams in the
league will tell ya. If it wasn’t for bad luck some of us would not
have any luck. If the RedDogs continue to stay close they will have
some of them games go in there favor. QB/Brunnell is healthy.
E.George is running strong and was one of the best backs as well as durable
which is always a RedDog concern. R.Smith has plenty of potiential
and should break out. Lightning beware.
De Luna's 1-1 vs. Bulldogs 0-2
written by guest writer: PLAYBOYS
The BullDogs vs. De Luna’s is one of the more interesting
matchup this week. Due to the fact the BullDogs are 0-2. OH!
How the mighty have fallen. 0-2 record has to be a 1st for the 2-time
champion. But as the L.Lightning proved last year it’s not how you
start but it’s how you finish. The De Luna’s meanwhile are coming
off a close loss to the Playboys last week, leaving him with a 1-1
record. Neither of these teams can afford a loss right now.
So this game is HUGE. The De Luna’s have some very good players on
his team that have not quite lived up to their potential yet. But
this could be the week for his QB/Cunningham & WR/C.Carter to explode
which would make him unstoppable. The Bulldogs meanwhile have the
combo of Bledsoe & T.Glenn to counter. He also has C.Martin who
should be running hard for him this week. None of the this fazes
the De Luna’s who loudly proclaim,” the Bulldogs! I thought I was playing
the Wolverines. OOP’s, I had this down as a victory already! “.
Regardless of who wins this game, the loser will only fall further behind
in the standing.
BuckMasters 0-1-1 vs. Taz. Devils 1-1
The BuckMasters & TazDevils game should turn out
to be a shoot out between two team who could very easily be 2-0.
The 1st week was a close shave for the BuckMasters and with a yard here
or there he would have won. BuckMasters frustration only continued
when he tied the RedDogs w/total of 85pt’s. Did I mention that 85
was the second highest score posted this week. TexThunder feels your
pain that’s why he was whipped out the league. The TazDevils pulled
out a big win the 1st week by toasting the East Champion Bulldogs but the
TazDevils must have forgotten that we don’t have bye’s in fantasy ball
and limped against the West Champion Wolverines. BuckMasters will
always have a chance as long as Favre is throwing the ball. Rumor
has it R.Williams will be ready to play against the TazDevils. Atlanta’s
Defense pulled one out for BuckMasters last week maybe they can carry it
over. The TazDevils will be looking to pull out all the stops
in order to remind Bucky that he is still the new boy on the block.
Y.Thigpen & Freeman carry plenty of point potential for the TazDevils
to stay competitive all season long.
Scroll down for previous weeks stories.
Wolverines 1-0 vs. Taz. Devils 1-0
This should be considered the game of the week due
to having two wild beasts tearing at each other as well as the Devils
trying to get a good jump this season. These two teams have finished
on opposite sides of the win column in the past but the Devils
are looking to make a run. Granted Taz’s
owner is looking for his 1st win against the Wolverines.
Last week the T.Devils pulled out a squeaker
to jump to a 1-0 start but lost his starting QB in the process. Testeverde
could have led the Devils from hanging around
the bottom of the division with expansion teams( a la Buck
Masters). The Devils wasted no
time in picking up Werner of St.Louis who had an outstanding weekend but
still has a QB Marino from the class of 83. ( I was about 13 years
old ouch). He does have versatile M.Faulk who can put up numbers
running and receiving. And w/A.Freeman in the line up he may be able
to pull the upset this week. He scored 74 points last week and that
was w/out a QB. Wolverines what can
you say about the Jewel of the League last year. T.Davis, J.Anderson
& R.Moss. All he lacked last year was the Crown, which the Jester
ran off with. I hope I have not hit a sore point. Seems J.Anderson
had signed a two year deal w/the Wolverines
cause he is back and ready to pound the line & end zone. He also
picked up what could amount to the steal of the draft D.Levens for 1m in
the 2nd round of the draft. (the 1m is what makes him a steal). Wolverines
has several players signed to his teams to long term contracts. S.Cristie
and I.Bruce keep signing with Wolverines to
make the run for BOWL VI. If M.Harrison has a game like he
did last week Wolverines may keep his undefeated
record against the Devils.
Bandidso 1-0 vs. L.Lightning 1-0
Every year the Bandidos
look forward to this game, it’s his chance to knock the Cajun monkey off
his back and every year he gets buried like the Alamo defenders.
This year could be the chance he is looking to knock that Ain’t off his
back. The Bandidos posted 94 points
last week and that was with QB Young scoring a mere 5 points. St.
Davis put up surprising numbers and Means will be in the line up this week
as well. The Defending champs L. Lightning
is finding that everyone gets up to play the champ and suffered a defeat
last week but is poised to get back on track against the Bandidos.
If his #1 draft pick F. Taylor plays this week he could keep his regular
season choke hold on the Bandidos. If
not E.James may be asked to carry the load. He also holds a double
barrel threat of QB/ B.Griese and WR/R. Smith to supplement his scoring.
He also bolstered his team by picking up WR/K.Dyson. This is the
earliest that the L. Lightning
has made a trade and could be feeling the heat of defending the championship.
He better hope the superbowl HEX doesn’t get him this season. Every
defending champ except the Bulldogs have had
less than par season when defending the trophy. But never count the
L.Lightning
out he has started out slowly before and come out smelling like a rose.
Example last year ending the season 6-7 but sweeping thru the playoffs.
But that doesn't seem to deter the Bandidos
owner who has stated that "not evern Bobby Bousher would stop him from
buring this crawdad. " We shall wait and see. Watch out for the De
Luna Boys Whammie!!!
Playboys 1-0 vs. De Luna's 1-0
This game could have been game of the week due to
the fact that it is two brothers squaring off for the 1st time in 5 years.
The DeLuna’s are one of the original teams
in the league but had taken a hiatus for a few years and is ready to jump
back in the Fantasy game. He is following in the footsteps of the
other brothers by hustling otherother league owners. He traded R.Williams
to Buck Masters for A.Murrell & R.Watters.
Can you say gimp leg. That could be almost top the draft day trades
made by Playboys to Taz. Or the Playboys
to Tex. Thunder. Playboys
had hustled so many people that the league has drafted a rule against such
activity. Which seems to be an infringement of our Constitutional
rights as OWNERS. Back to the game at hand. The DeLuna’s
are coming off his 1st victory in 5 years (heheheh!!) and facing the challenge
of the Playboys who were in the Eastern title
game last year. The playboys broke the
century mark and are looking to smack this week’s opponent like he did
last weeks. The playboys were over heard stating that
“ This is kind of like my 1st game due to facing weak competition last
week” OUCH L.LIGHTNING.
Bulldogs 0-1 vs. Agitators 0-1
This is a rematch of an old rivalry that was played
out through the seasons they were in the same division. And would usually
end in the Division Conference game. They were close game and both
looked forward to winning. Now they play once a year and the Bulldogs
have continued to appear in the Conference game but the Agitators
have missed the conference game the last couple of years. Agitators
have suffered some crushing injuries to some of his top players the last
couple of years to the point of almost placing hot commodity B.Favre on
the blocks last year. That never happened because the team pulled
one out. Agitators are sporting a descent
QB in Manning and with #1 pick T.Davis hopes to get a little payback on
the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs
are just awakening from his dizzy haze that he seems to have been experiencing
at draft. (Can we say Fred Lane). Maybe that is the way to
get the 2-time champ to falter by making sure he parties the day before.
Bulldogs
still have a team to be dealt with. He has Bledsoe chunking the rock
for his team. He has a good legs in C.Martin & Bettis. He is
ready to make that run once again. When last interviewed Bulldogs
owner seemed to be very confident and almost non-chalant of the challenge
that awaited him this week. Don’t you love rivalries. When
was the last time you remember the Bullogs
having more loses than wins??? Agitators need
to jump him while the jumping is good.
Red Dogs 0-1 vs. Buck Masters 0-1
BuckMasters is looking
for a better finish than last year, which he may very well have considering
he made the draft this year. Granted we in the Tejas
league OOP’s!! Lone Star according
to rumor are weak at drafting and a little amiss when it comes to the intricacies
of the game. That rumor will be put to the test this season.
(Who was your second round pick again Buckster?
Cause I can't tell by your player listing) ) BuckMasters
made a decent pick when he drafted B.Favre and his receiving corp. is good
with T.Owens and R.Smith. Buckster may
have faltered trading for R.Williams but it could pay off in the long run.
The RedDogs lost a disheartening game last
week but should be able to bounce back. The RedDogs
have been haunted by close games and badly timed injuries. Hopefully
this season will be different and they make a trip to the playoffs to let
out a few years frustration. RedDogs
definitely have the ingredients in that they have a excellent QB in Brunnell.
The RedDogs also have arguably one of the best tandems of running backs
in E.George and R.Smith. And as is commonly known he with the best
backs usually go the long haul. (Granted that didn't hold true in Wolverines
case. T.Davis & J.Anderson) This could be the year that
a new team challenges for the Western title. Dang it I should
not be saying that due to the fact I want to trade for R.Smith(Bandidos).
